Before Mayflower Clinic was established, expectant families in Nagpur, Vidarbha, and across Central India had no access to dedicated fetal medicine care. When a fetal anomaly was suspected, families were asked to travel to Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, or Delhi — hundreds of kilometres from home — during the most anxious weeks of their pregnancy.
Dr. Kunda Shahane changed this. After completing her fetal medicine fellowship and FMF (London) certification, she returned to Nagpur with a clear mission: to establish a centre where every expectant family in Central India — regardless of how complex their pregnancy — could receive world-standard fetal care, close to home.
