Dr. Kunda Shahane
Dr. Kunda Shahane is Central India's first and most experienced dedicated fetal medicine specialist, with nearly two decades of experience and over 20,000 fetuses personally evaluated. She established Mayflower Fetal Medicine Centre in Nagpur to bring world-class prenatal diagnosis and fetal therapy to Vidarbha — a region previously without a single fetal medicine specialist.
Trained with the Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF), London, she practices globally-benchmarked NT scan and first trimester screening protocols. She is the founder and director of the Indian Institute of Fetal Medicine (IIFM), Nagpur, through which she trains doctors from across India in advanced fetal medicine techniques.
Dr. Shahane was the first in Vidarbha to perform fetal blood transfusion, introduce laser therapy for twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS), and establish a complete fetal therapy suite — procedures previously available only in Mumbai or Pune.
