Anomaly Scan क्यों जरूरी है?

Anomaly Scan, जिसे कई लोग Target Scan या Level II Scan भी कहते हैं, pregnancy का एक बहुत important detailed ultrasound है. इसमें baby के major organs और body structure को systematic तरीके से देखा जाता है, ताकि pregnancy care सही direction में plan हो सके.

सबसे पहले — Anomaly Scan होता क्या है?

Anomaly Scan pregnancy के second trimester में किया जाने वाला detailed fetal anatomy ultrasound है. यह baby के शरीर की बनावट, important organs, placenta, amniotic fluid और growth को एक structured checklist के साथ देखने में मदद करता है.

Simple words में: यह scan सिर्फ “baby दिखाने” के लिए नहीं होता. यह pregnancy में medical planning, counselling और timely follow-up के लिए एक important step है.

Anomaly Scan क्यों जरूरी है?

1. Baby की anatomy detail में देखना

इस scan में fetal brain, face, spine, chest, heart, stomach, kidneys, urinary bladder, limbs और skeleton को systematic तरीके से देखा जाता है. इसका purpose major structural problems को identify करना और pregnancy care को सही तरीके से guide करना है.

2. सही समय पर counselling

अगर कोई finding दिखती है, तो parents को panic करने के बजाय clear explanation, second opinion, genetic counselling, fetal echo, neurosonography या further testing की जरूरत समझाई जाती है.

3. Delivery और newborn care planning

कुछ conditions में delivery hospital, neonatologist, paediatric surgeon या paediatric cardiologist की planning pregnancy के दौरान ही करनी पड़ सकती है. Anomaly Scan ऐसी planning में मदद करता है.

Anomaly Scan कब करवाना चाहिए?

किन mothers को Anomaly Scan जरूर करवाना चाहिए?

FAQs — Anomaly Scan के बारे में common questions

Anomaly Scan कितने weeks पर करवाना चाहिए?

Generally 18–22 weeks के बीच. कई patients में 19–20 weeks के आसपास scan plan किया जाता है. आपकी pregnancy dating और doctor referral के अनुसार exact timing decide हो सकती है.

क्या यह scan painful होता है?

नहीं. यह ultrasound scan है. Abdomen पर gel लगाकर probe से scan किया जाता है. Baby की position और required views के अनुसार scan duration vary कर सकता है.

क्या Anomaly Scan से सब कुछ पता चल जाता है?

Anomaly Scan detailed और important है, लेकिन ultrasound की natural limitations होती हैं. कुछ conditions pregnancy के later stage में develop या visible हो सकती हैं. इसलिए report के बाद भी routine pregnancy follow-up जरूरी रहता है.

अगर Anomaly Scan normal है तो क्या fetal echo जरूरी है?

हर patient को fetal echo की जरूरत नहीं होती. लेकिन diabetes, IVF pregnancy, increased NT, family history, suspected cardiac view concern या doctor referral में fetal echocardiography advise हो सकती है.

क्या 3D/4D Anomaly Scan से बेहतर होता है?

Main medical diagnosis 2D ultrasound views से होता है. 3D/4D selected anatomical areas को समझने में additional help कर सकता है, लेकिन यह detailed 2D fetal anatomy assessment का replacement नहीं है.

Report abnormal आए तो क्या तुरंत decision लेना पड़ता है?
